New developments in oncology therapeutics are changing every aspect of preclinical testing, from study designs and advanced imaging through regulatory review. While offering standard orthotopic xenograft models for commercial and clinically-derived cell types in small and large animals, CBSET also parters with Sus Clinicals to offer the Oncopig® large animal model in a variety of tumor types. The Oncopig mimics human cancer more closely than murine models in terms of size, localization, and geometry. This allows for the testing of surgical interventions, localized drug delivery, and medical devices in a setting that more closely mirrors the clinical environment.

In support of large and small animal models CBSET supports key non-invasive imaging technologies including MRI, PET/CT, and intravital bioluminescence for tracking labelled cells in vivo. Combined, these imaging capabilities allow longitudinal monitoring of tumor growth and composition prior to histopathology.
