*BTI* From Benchtop to Clinical Trial: Examples of technology development. Rami Tzafriri, PhD

Summary: Drawing on examples from renal denervation and other thought-leader debates at the conference, the presentation focused on several issues, including whether benchtop-to-clinical is the only path for new medical technologies, the roles and advantages of preclinical vs clinical trials in technology development, and whether clinical studies are the only true predictor of the safety and efficacy of new medical technologies.
