Press Release: CBSET Partner CILcare Promotes Dr. Cyrille Sage to Director of U.S. Operations

LEXINGTON, MA, May 19, 2020  —  CBSET Inc., a not-for-profit translational research institute, announced today that its partner, CILcare, a leading CRO specializing in hearing disorders, has promoted Dr. Cyrille Sage to Director of CILcare’s U.S. operations.

In his new role, Dr. Sage will be responsible for overseeing all operations performed at the joint CBSET-CILcare facility in Lexington, Mass., ranging from ex vivo assays to GLP regulatory-compliant ototoxicity studies in both rodents and large animals.

“Dr. Sage is a key contributor to CILcare, bringing extensive in vivo research and development knowledge and experience, specifically focused on the inner ear. Indeed, his strategic vision and excellence in inner ear biology will be of great added-value to help us continue to evolve our service offerings with CBSET,” said Marie-Pierre Pasdelou, Chief Regulatory Officer and co-founder of CILcare.

Dr. Sage joined CILcare in 2017 with 22 years of experience in inner ear hair cell research and gene therapy. He was a member of the team who pioneered hair cell regeneration through hair cell division and is a co-author of numerous scientific publications.

“Already in its third year, this partnership that harnesses CBSET’s GLP-compliance expertise to CILcare’s scientific leadership in auditory models has been rewarding, supporting breakthrough advances in ototoxicity and implantable auditory therapies,” said Peter Markham, President, CEO and cofounder of CBSET. “Cyrille’s scientific leadership has been irreplaceable, and we look forward to our continued collaborative hosting of his team at our Lexington, MA, facility.”
