Summary: Device thrombosis dominates bioresorbable vascular scaffolds (BVS) safety concerns, particularly in sub-2.5mm vessels. To better understand the mechanistic basis of this size threshold, we evaluated scaffold thrombogenicity (ST) in clinical- (thick; 157µm) and production-grade (thin; 99-119µm) BVS in computational and bench-top thrombosis models where vessel diameter and study conditions could be tuned precisely.
